ICE HOUSE
Berkeley Springs, WV
Originally constructed in 1911, the Ice House building is a four-story reinforced concrete structure with roughly 10,000 square feet per floor. An addition was constructed in 1923. Over the years, the reinforcing concrete structure experienced significant deterioration and required a number of structural repairs. Client: Morgan Arts Council/GDA Architects

STRUCTURAL DESIGN
FELLOWSHIP BIBLE CHURCH
Winchester, VA
In 2000, our officed designed a 60,000 sq ft addition to the existing church featuring a 2-story 12,000 sq ft auditorium space that can be used for both worship services and a basketball court. The building was constructed with reinforced concrete foundations, structural steel floor framing, and concrete slabs on metal decking.

STRUCTURAL INVESTIGATION
ORANGE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Orange County, VA
Ruckman Engineering, PLC, performed a comprehensive structural investigation of various movements and cracking in multiple school buildings related to the 2011 earthquake centered in Mineral, VA. Our investigation determined the extent of the structural damage and provided recommendations for repairs.
